Common questions and answers for Dragon Crusade players.

Getting Started​

How do I download the game?​

Visit the official Dragon Crusade website and click "Download". Follow the installation instructions in our Download Guide.

What are the system requirements?​

  • OS: Windows 7 or higher
  • RAM: 4GB minimum
  • GPU: Any DirectX 9 compatible
  • Storage: 5GB free space

Is the server free to play?​

Yes! Dragon Crusade is completely free to play. Optional donations support the server.

How many character slots do I have?​

Character select shows 3 faces per page. Use the left/right arrows to change page (the label is n/15, so 15 pages). An account can hold up to 45 characters. Create only works on the first page (the first 3 slots). Characters already on later pages can still be selected and played.

Season vs Base​

Is the season server live? What is it called?​

Yes. Season 15 — Dragon Kingdom started 26 June 2026. Both Season and Base / main are live.

Should a new player pick Season or Base?​

Join the current Season server. That is the live race. Season names change about every 6 months (the current one is listed under Seasons).

Base / main is the long-lived home server. When a season ends, characters and items transfer there. Do not treat the season-end bonus date as merge day.

Gameplay​

What is Dragon Rank?​

Dragon Rank is a secondary leveling system unique to Dragon Crusade. After reaching level 150, you gain Dragon Ranks (1-200) for additional power. See Dragon Rank Guide.

How do I get a Dragon Companion?​

Collect 7 Dragon Balls from dungeons and use them to summon Shenlong, who grants you a companion. See Dragon Companions.

What is the level cap?​

Character level caps at 150 (Hero level). Dragon Rank continues to 200, then Rebirth system begins.

Do Baruna weapons exist on this server?​

No. This server has no Baruna weapons as a usable weapon type. Use Dragon Crusade weapons and Weapon Leveling instead.

How do I make Penya?​

Farm monsters, sell items to vendors, use offline vendors, or check our Penya Farming Guide.

Classes​

What's the best class?​

All classes are viable. Choose based on playstyle:

  • Melee DPS: Blade, Slayer
  • Ranged DPS: Ranger, Crackshooter
  • Tank: Knight, Templar
  • Support: Ringmaster, Seraph
  • Magic DPS: Elementor, Arcanist

Can I change my class?​

You can change your class through the in-game menu: Start Menu -> Character -> Class Change. The cost is 15 Donate Coins x Your Level.

Economy​

What currency is used?​

  • Penya: Main in-game currency
  • Dragon Chips: Premium currency
  • Vote Points: Free currency from voting

How do offline vendors work?​

Set up a vendor, list items, and earn Penya while offline. See Offline Vendors.

PvP​

Is there PvP?​

Yes! Dragon Crusade features:

  • Arena duels
  • Guild siege
  • Faction warfare
  • Open world PvP in certain zones

What are factions?​

Holy Dragon or Blood Dragon. Each has its own teleporter Faction Base. PvP is Dragon Realm. See Faction System.

Technical Issues​

Game won't start?​

  1. Run as Administrator
  2. Update DirectX
  3. Check antivirus exceptions
  4. Reinstall if needed

High ping/lag?​

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Close background programs
  3. Try a VPN if far from server

Lost items/progress?​

Contact support on Discord with your character name and details.

How do I join a guild?​

Ask in-game or check Discord #guild-recruitment channel.

Inventory and dungeons​

How do I lock an item so I do not delete it?​

Hold Control and right-click the item in your inventory. Same click unlocks it. A locked item cannot be dropped, sold, mailed, traded, banked, deleted, or listed on a vendor. Details: Inventory.

How do I set dungeon difficulty?​

Open the Party window and use the difficulty dropdown before you enter. The list shows Normal / Hard / Hell (and Solo / Tankless when those options appear). Details: Dungeon Systems.

When do dungeon daily entries reset?​

07:00 server time. Remaining runs show on the teleporter. Details: Dungeon Systems.

Can I turn off EXP (including in dungeons)?​

Yes — Exp Stop On/Off on the character window, or the No Experience option. It disables experience gain, not only dungeon EXP. Details: Dungeon Systems.

I deleted Green Form (or another Dragon Quest form)​

Ann in Saint Morning asks for Blue Form, Pink Form, Green Form, and Brown Form during Dragon Quest 7 (the A38 permit steps). Each item says you can find it in Saint Morning.

Green Form also sits on the ground in Saint Morning. If you lose or delete it, go back there and pick it up off the ground.

Lock quest items with Control + right-click so a misclick cannot delete them. Details: Inventory and Dragon Cloak.
